Thank you to the 690 backers who've contributed $28,861 to the 'Bring Back the Wheelchair' campaign! Yesterday you made the campaign a success when it surpassed its $27,500 goal!
We're super excited to begin the tooling process and ship out the wheelchairs by June 2017!
In 2014, when we launched the crowdfunding campaign to make the world's first realistically proportioned fashion doll (the Traveler Lammily doll), we manufactured and shipped over 21,000 dolls. Only in hindsight do I see that, had it not been for that one successful crowdfunding campaign, Mattel would have not come out with their dolls of different body types, and Lammily would not be able to come out with all the new products it has come out with. In fact, Lammily as we know it wouldn't even exist had it not been for that one successful campaign.
I know that 1 year or 2 years from now, I'll look at the backers who contributed to 'Bring Back the Wheelchair' and think of all the new things that have come as a result them. I can't wait to see the wide range of fashion doll wheelchairs, dolls with prosthetics, crutches, cochlear implants, and more. I can't wait to work to make sure that this wheelchair is as common as a dress in the doll aisle. I can't wait to see the reactions of kids when they play with a fashion doll wheelchair, for the very first time.
Thank you so much for your support.
Thank you for changing the world, one toy at a time!
Best,
Nickolay

Thank you for backing the campaign to bring back the fashion doll wheelchair! You and 663 backers have raised $27,062 of the $27,500 goal with 47 hours remaining!
To celebrate the tremendous response, Photographer and Traveler Lammily took in a beautiful sunset on the beach of Rancho Palos Verdes, California. They thought of all the backers who've made their journey possible and who are changing the world, one toy at a time.
The Wheelchair Which Inspired Our Campaign

Last year, we asked Rebecca Kara, a skilled artist and crafter, to make a DIY wheelchair for the Lammily doll using everyday materials. She made the wheelchair below, as well as a video for Lammily TV showing how to make one.
This crafts video got over 15,000 views and we started receiving emails from Lammily customers asking if we were going to make wheelchairs an official accessory. We also learned the wheelchairs for Barbie dolls were discontinued in 1997.
So, we decided to design a wheelchair that fits not just Lammily dolls, but all fashion dolls on the market (dolls 11 inches or shorter).
Today, the Kickstarter campaign to make this dream a reality has raised $23,520 of the $27,500 goal with 5 days to go!
It's Christmas Eve. If we make this a reality, we can be sure that next year's Christmas Eve will be an extra special one for kids who use wheelchairs, and make history in the toy world once again.
Thank you to the 592 backers who've already contributed to the campaign! We're almost there! Merry Christmas and Happy Chanukah!

Badwater Basin is located 282 ft below sea level, the lowest point in North America. It's one of the highlights of Death Valley, California, which has record summer heat. Today Traveler Lammily visited Badwater Basin - one the last stops on her California adventure!
Thank you to the 615 backers who've contributed $24,703. The campaign has just 94 hours left!
Please share the campaign with whoever you think may be interested! We're so close to making the fashion doll wheelchair a reality!

The Kickstarter campaign to bring back the fashion doll wheelchair has only 6 days to go!
While the wheelchair comes as a fun building set, much like a LEGO, we understand that some of us just want it complete from the get go!
That's why we added a version of the wheelchair which comes fully assembled.
If you go through the rewards in the Kickstarter you'll see we added an additional reward called 'Assembled Lammily Wheelchair' for $25.
